Penny & Parcel was born out of founder Shelby Hoke's passion for sending hand-written, stamped, and mailed letters. Whether it's a surprise birthday card, a hand-written thank you note, or a note just to let someone know you're thinking about them, there's something nostalgic and innately human in receiving correspondence you can actually touch and hold in your hand. Coupled with the nostalgia of the penny and how growing up as a kid finding a lucky penny on the ground always sparked joy, Shelby wanted to bring some tangible joy to more mailboxes.

It's a simple idea, but one Shelby hopes will reconnect people with the small gestures that are unexpected and rooted in something we can receive, touch, and experience. As life is increasingly lived behind screens, people feel disconnected, and AI dominates content creation, Penny & Parcel seeks to provide easy, thoughtful ways to tangibly connect with the people you care about, while recapturing simpler times through meaningful, tangible gestures.
